Project Overview
The RESPONSIBLE Project is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership (2023-2025) dedicated to revolutionizing sustainability education. With a focused budget and a commitment to circular economy principles, the project provides educators with innovative tools to integrate zero waste and environmental ethics into school curricula across Europe.
Objectives & Goals
- Equip educators with a comprehensive zero waste toolkit and circular economy pedagogical resources.
- Foster environmental literacy and ethical integrity among primary and secondary school students.
- Develop innovative STEM-based educational materials that integrate sustainability into the core curriculum.
- Create a collaborative digital hub for European partners to share best practices in green education.
- Support school leaders in implementing long-term sustainable institutional changes and waste reduction strategies.
Work Packages
WP1: Project Management
Coordination of all project activities, financial administration, and regular monitoring to ensure quality and progress across all partner countries.
WP2: Methodology & Mapping
Developing a unified educational framework and mapping best practices in zero waste education across European schools to create a strong foundation.
WP3: Educational Resources
Creation of toolkits, lesson plans, and practical classroom activities designed to make zero waste principles easy for teachers to integrate.
WP4: Pilot & Training
Testing the developed resources in real classroom settings and training educators to lead zero waste initiatives in their own communities.
WP5: Dissemination
Sharing project results, toolkit access, and success stories across European education networks to ensure long-term sustainability impact.

The RESPONSIBLE project aims to empower students by fostering environmental consciousness and practical zero-waste skills.
